I am an Elementary Principal and have been in education for 20 years.  I love my job because it keeps changing and I keep learning.  I am and continue to be a life long learner.  The only way we prepare our future leaders is to keep up with them.  In my career, I have been a Teacher, Team Leader, Assistant Principal, Principal and Professional Developer.  I have taught and led both elementary and secondardy levels.  Every morning I wake up excited to fullfill my life purpose.  I am so lucky to do what I love!!

Education

I am currently a new doctoral student at Dowling College.  I am interested in researching the effects of standardized testing on elementary student achievement.  I will study this quantative topic  by using a survey and data from NYS Report Card data.  This will give a picture of student achievement before and after increase in standardized assessments after NCBLB.
